Craft Products Company is a leading water treatment chemical company located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania Craft provides water analysis and treatment services for industrial clientele throughout the United States. Alpha Rho Scholarship Program

Alpha Rho Alumni Corp. is a non-profit Texas corporation that provides academic scholarships for students attending West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia. The company had several main business objectives in creating their internet presence:

• Provide content that accurately conveyed the objectives of the scholarship program
• Enable students to easily understand the scholarship application process and complete the application online

Fundraising is essential to this client, so a very cost effective online fund raising and marketplace solution was required so that operating costs could be held at a minimum and the maximum amount of money could be retained for scholarships. Industry standard tools were used in the development of the website so that content could be updated quickly and efficiently. A very cost efficient domain name and web hosting solution was used for additional cost savings. Because sales volumes for the online store were unknown, a marketplace solution was developed that utilized standard web pages and Pay Pal's free credit card handling service. The Pay Pal solution allowed the company to avoid upfront costs for a shopping cart solution while only paying transaction fees on credit card purchases and donations when they occurred. This solution allows the company to enjoy low overhead costs while providing supporters with a secure transaction environment when making a purchase or donation.
